Lens:
f8, c. 11" Watson Rapid Rectilinear, iris diaphragm to f64. Serial no. 3034 .

Construction:
Spanish mahogany with aluminium fittings. Dovetail joints. Leather bellows with square corners.

Format:
6 ½" x 8 ½" plates held in double dark-slides.

Focusing:
Bellows to 42". Double extension, rack and pinion (straight cut) movement to inner frame.

Attributes:
Turntable in base stamped 319/84. Removable lens panel. Lever to clamp the rising front. The underside of the rails of the focusing rack are stamped LEN HOLMES.

Movements:
Rising front, tilting back.

Notes:

With:
3 double dark-slides.

This camera was made by Len Holmes of Holmes Brothers, makers of the Sanderson cameras. The lock to the rising front is a typical Holmes feature. The turntable carries the patent of S. D. McKellen. The same camera was advertised by Ross.
