Many cameras by L.S.C. were re-badged models from other manufacturers. The Kings Own is their own design and first appeared around 1906. It was a teak tropical model similar to the leather covered Service. The earliest models are fitted with a friction-brake Koilos shutter. Later a Volute was fitted and later still (c. 1911) a Compound. The position of the finder differs between examples, normally it is a hinged type attached to the baseboard, others have two brilliant finders let into the body.

Several sizes were produced:
2 ¼" x 3 ¼", 3 ¼" x 4 ¼", postcard, 4 ¾" x 6 ½" and 4" x 5". Later the smallest size was dropped from the range. Production probably ceased around 1914.
