Shutter:
Exposure effected by sweep of the lens across film. The speed of the lens sweep is controlled by a spring.

Construction:
Morocco leather covered wood body.

Format:
4, 3 ½" x 12" exposures on 103 roll-film.

Focusing:
Fixed.

Attributes:
142 degree angle of view.
Brilliant view-finder, finder shows centre of field to determine the foreground and sky, 'V' sight lines show angle of view. Two spirit levels.
Film advance indicated by red window, not coupled to shutter.

11373 .

The No. 4 was introduced in 1899 and discontinued in 1924. There were several different models produced having minor variations. The original model did not have the hinged lens cover and the front unscrewed to load the film. Price in Britain was £3.10.0 with a meniscus lens.
