Glass Templates

  • 6" x 4 ½". Ground base, handle.
  • 5 ¾" x 4".
  • 4" x 3".
  • 3 ⅝" x 2 ⅜".
  • 6 ¼" x 4 ½".
  • 3 ⅞" diameter.
  • 3" diameter.

The better glass templates had a ground base and a handle others were simply blocks of glass with polished edges. Grid lines are sometimes present on the base.

Glass plates were also used for enamelling (glazing).
