Shutter:
Focal-plane speeded 1/15 - 1/1000.

Construction:
Leather covered metal body, leather bellows.

Format:
3 ¼" x 4 ¼" plates held in single metal slides.

Focusing:
Helical to 8 feet.

Attributes:
Direct vision (lens/lens) view-finder.

With:
Focusing screen.

The Salex Focal-Plane is a re-branded camera from Murer of Milan. It was introduced in the early 1920s remaining on sale for a few years. It was produced in sizes of 6 x 4.5 cm, 3 ½" x 2 ½", 3 ¼" x 4 ¼" and postcard / 5" x 4".

A wide range of lenses was available: f5.5 Salex Anastigmat, f4.5 Salex Anastigmat, f4.5 Zeiss Tessar, f4.5 Ross and an f3.9 Salex Anastigmat on the 3 ½" x 2 ½" size (introduced 1923). The Tessar was not generally available on the postcard size. f6.5 Dallon telephoto lenses of 6", 9" and 11" were available for the 6 x 4.5 cm, 3 ½" x 2 ½", 3 ¼" x 4 ¼" models respectively.
