Leather covered metal body.

Format:
16, 4 x 3 cm exposures on 127 roll-film. The film counter runs to 18.

Focusing:
Bellows to 3' 3".

Attributes:
Reflex viewing through second lens. Full-size ground glass focusing screen. Magnifier in hood.
Film advance indicated by counter, not coupled to shutter. Lever film-advance. Red window used when loading film.
Secondary direct-vision (lens/lens) finder for 'portrait' format exposures.

The Pilot was a very well-made camera of unusual design for 'landscape' format exposures on 127 size roll-film. Early models had either a f2.8 or f3.5 Tessar, this was later expanded to include an f2 Biotar, f2.9 Xenar, f3.5 Xenar and f/2.7 Meyer Makro-Plasmat. Later models could be fitted with a Compur shutter with speeds to 1/500. The price was £17.10.0.
