The Alpin appeared in 1905 and continued into the mid 1920s. It was a top-quality camera with many refinements.

Four sizes were made:

9 x 12 cm, 10 x 15 cm, 10 x 15 cm stereo with two lenses and 10 x 15 cm stereo with three lenses (one for mono use mounted between the stereo pair).

A number of variations exist:

• Earliest models (1905) were fitted with a B&L Automat shutter and a Dynar lens. The Collinear was probably added slightly later. Later still the Heliar was available.
• The shutter was changed to a Koilos in 1906.
• By 1909 the shutter was a Compound or Koilos, after a few years the Koilos was dropped.
• Late versions have a Compur shutter.
