Selochrome roll-film was introduced in 1931, a film-pack version appeared a couple of years later and, in 1935, a 35 mm cartridge was introduced. The roll-film version was replaced in the late 1950s.

Selo H.P.3 roll-film was introduced in 1940 or 1941 to replace H.P.2, around 1945 the Selo part of the name was dropped. H.P.3 for 35 mm cameras was introduced in 1943. The name changed from H.P.3 to HP3 around 1948. The original speed of 32° Sch. was increased to 34° around 1956 and to 37° around 1960.

FP3 was a medium speed panchromatic emulsion, when introduced the speed was 27° Sch. this was increased to 29° Sch. and to 32° Sch. around 1960. FP3 Series 2, in 35 mm size, was introduced in 1959.
