Projector for 35 mm film strips, the strips are moved by sprocket wheel and are in continuous motion. There are two sets of lenses and bulbs, the bulbs illuminate the picture strip alternately. Clockwork mechanism with battery power for the bulbs.

The Dux is a child's projector using 35 mm film strips. It has, though, similarities to earlier animation devices. In order to utilise a short length of film each scene comprises two images showing a different phase of motion (e.g. a galloping horse with its legs in different positions), the two images are arranged one above the other and are illuminated alternately and repeatedly until the next scene appears.
